Howlite

Recognisable by its white, marble-like surface threaded with grey veining, howlite is one of the calmest stones in crystal healing practice. It's traditionally associated with patience and better sleep, often placed under a pillow or kept on a nightstand by those managing racing thoughts. Because it takes dye well, howlite is also commonly used as a base to imitate turquoise and other stones, so it's worth knowing what you're buying. In its natural white form, it makes a soft, understated addition to any collection.
