Collection: Pyrite

Often called fool's gold for its metallic, cubic crystals, pyrite is actually iron sulphide rather than gold, though it's prized in crystal circles all the same. It's associated with abundance, confidence and protection, and is commonly displayed near a home or office entrance to encourage prosperity. Unlike softer stones, pyrite's raw clusters are usually kept as decor rather than jewellery, since the sharp edges and brittle structure don't lend themselves to everyday wear. A pyrite cluster makes a striking desk or shelf piece.
